Dunsley Highlander 8 Replacement Back Stove Fire Brick for Wood Burner.

The fire bricks inside your stove will be found at the back and the sides of the inside of your stove. From time to time small cracks may appear on the bricks but these are perfectly normal due to the high temperatures in the stove and you should only have to replace these if the bricks start to break apart. If you're looking to purchase replacement bricks we sell them individually and also in sets depending on your needs.

Dunsley Highlander 3 Stove Replacement Throat / Baffle Plate for Wood Burner.

Dunsley Highlander stoves like other wood burning stoves often possess a throat plate (in some instances also known as a Baffle Plate), in the instances of Enviroburn models of stoves you can sometimes find that the traditional throat plate has been replaced with a throat brick but its function is still the same. The throat plate is located in the upper region of the stove firebox (so in the ceiling area inside your stove. The throat plate deflects the flames and heat generated by the fire around itself before exiting out into the flue - the throat plate plays an important role in helping your wood stove to generate more heat from the fuel. The throat plate also helps to keep waste gases inside the stove for longer whilst also reflecting heat back into the firebox. Without the throat plate stoves wouldn t be able to produce as much heat because all of the warm air would be rapidly lost up the flue.
